World Blood Donar Day is observed every year on 14th June which is the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner . The day creates and opportunity to urge government as well as national health authorities to allocate enough resources and implement techniques to increase the blood collection from unpaid , voluntary donars. Blood, blood products as well as their transfusion are important parts of patient care and public health and quality of life of a wide range of individuals. ‘World Blood Donar Day ’ was celebrated in The Noel English High School on 2nd August 2023 . The event began with informative speech on blood donation which was delivered by Trisha Manwar. The students of standard 8th Royals sung the song ‘Be a giver ’ and inspire audience for blood donation. A musical skit was performed by the students and tried to show difficulties faced by Thalesimia patients to search a blood donar . A skit was performed which showed the need of blood transfusion to a wounded soldier. Then after a skit showing people’s fear of donating blood. This was followed by a skit featuring people with rare blood group that is O negative and AB negative. At last students performed a dance on ‘Blood Donation’ song. The programme came to an end with a formal vote of thanks.
